Based on a true story, Karthi’s recent flick directed by H Vinoth of Sathuranga Vettai fame was a sensation. The film which has opened to slightly positive reviews has taken over the audience with its narrative style and amazing screenplay. The film was a slow success which makes it a better film than most other which receive instant success and then fade away.
The movie which casts Rakul Preet Singh as the lead actress is the story of a Police Officer who solves one of the biggest cases in his career. The story is based on Tamil Nadu Police operation ten years ago to catch a gang of dacoits called “Bawaria Dacoity” terrorizing houses along the National Highways in Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, and Andhra Pradesh. The director of the film has brought in the then Inspector General of Police Mr. S R Jangid who had led the team that has brought down the dacoits as a consultant for the film.
Though based on an original story, the director has made the film splendidly breathtaking and highly realistic showing us the artistry of the Police work but never taking off the drama and action off the table. The film keeps the audience at the edge of the seat from the beginning to its last frame which is why this has become one of the best crime thrillers of the recent times.
